Science Camps


General Information
Science workshop camps for students in K-12 are available during winter, spring and summer school breaks. More than 2,000 children take part each year.
Payments
Payments for Science Center workshops are by check, cash, MasterCard or Visa. Make checks payable to “The Science Center” and please put your drivers license number on the check.
Refunds
Complete refunds are given for the following circumstances only: Applicants move out of the city prior to the class. Death in the family.
Transfer Fees
Transferring your child from one class to another requires a $10 processing fee. Cancellations
If a class is cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, you will be notified and receive a full refund.
Returned Checks
A $30 fee will be charged for returned checks.
Extended Care Policies
All children, regardless of age, enrolled in any Science Center program and on the property during extended care hours (Prior to 8:20am and after 4:45pm) MUST BE registered for Extended Care.
• Arrival Information - Any child arriving BEFORE 7:30am must remain with an adult. The Science Center does not open for Extended Care until 7:30am.
• Pick-up Information - Children picked up from Extended Care (after 4:45pm) MUST be signed out from the Discovery Center by a parent or designated adult. Early Pickup - If a child is picked up early, you must notify the front office and teacher before you leave.
• Late Fees - All children MUST be picked up by 5:30pm. There will be a $5 late pick-up charge for the first 15 minutes (5:30pm - 5:45pm) and an additional $1/minute per child late pick-up charge for each minute after 5:45pm. NO EXCEPTIONS! Any parent who wants to visit his/her child’s class, must check in at the front office and get a visitor’s pass. Break-Time for Students
Students are given breaks mid-morning and mid-afternoon. Snack and soft drink machines areavailable. Snacks are 60¢ - 75¢ and soft drinks are $1.
SNACKS WILL NOT BE PROVIDED BY THE SCIENCE CENTER.
If parents do not want their children to use the vending machines, they may provide snacks for them. Any snacks from home should be clearly labeled with the child's name. 
Please Note The Following Information
For safety, ALL students must wear CLOSED SHOES.
If a student has a problem that needs special attention, please advise us us at the time of registration.
