The St. Petersburg Astronomy Club is the oldest and largest astronomical organization in the south-eastern United States. We are dedicated to promoting the science of astronomy and the education of the public and have been meeting continuously since 1927.
St. Petersburg Astronomy Club hosts free astronomy programs at each monthly general meeting held at the Science Center of Pinellas. These include lectures, demonstrations, and discussions, and are often combined with observing sessions. Meetings are normally held on the fourth Friday of each month (except November and December when it is on the third Friday).
