Welcome Back Teachers and Students!

The Science Center offers programs for students in grades K-12 taught by qualified educators.

We are looking forward to having you attend our many hands on workshops this school year.  Please see our STEME (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Extension catalog along with lots of  other exciting workshops and opportunties for grades K-12.

STEM Extension Program

Our STEME program is a ninety minute experience based on the Next Generation Sunshine State Standards.

Students in grades K-3 take part in two-45 minute classes while 4th grade and up have a 90 minute session. Classes are divided by content area (life, physical, earth and space, and nature of science).

If you are a Pinellas County public school you will need to coordinate your class choices with the county pacing guide in order for bussing to be provided.

Please feel free to give us a call with any questions. Included in the catalogue is the registration information.

Science To Go

Bringing hands on Science to you and your students.

Our programs focus on students in grades 4th through 8th and range from six or seven week sessions depending on the program. Programs offered include: Forensics, Engineering, Rocketry, and Music.

Some program guidelines:

  • Students must attend every session in full. Each session provides a foundation for the next, so missing a session means you missed a lot of information
  • Same students each week
  • Grade level strictly adhered to
  • Site personnel in class - modeling appropriate behavior, such as assisting instructor,no cell phone usage, and computer access only as directed
  • Class limits strictly adhered to
